Mi pare giusto. Indipendentemente da questi periodi per chi più e chi meno sono difficili. Sprecare non è mai bello.
Ma vorrei farvi notare che se state scavalcando scatole nella vostra Craft room da tempo è ora di guardare in faccia la realtà: quello non è ordine creativo ma state accumulando. Si perché noi creative per poter realizzare tanti progetti abbiamo bisogno di tanti oggetti che ci stimolino a creare: bottoni, cerniere stoffe, elastici, spillette…se poi siano anche sentimentali diventiamo la nostra rovina.
Vi faccio un esempio.
Tanti anni fa ricamavo a punto croce. Mi piaceva molto la trama quadrettata regolare più che i disegni variopinti che si potevano realizzare. Così a ogni occasione acquistavo scampoli, dopo scampoli. Incominciai a realizzare qualche lavoro ma immancabilmente dopo ogni lavaggio ero sempre più convinta di aver sprecato il mio tempo. La trama della stoffa perfettamente quadrettata perdeva il suo fascino dopo il lavaggio. E a parere mio anche il disegno ne risentiva. Così prima ancora di aver utilizzato un discreto numero di stoffe avevo perso interesse per il punto croce accumulandole in uno scatolone e senza voglia di usarle. Invece di regalarle ho pensato che forse un domani avrei ripreso interesse. Beh quelle stoffe sono state riposte in una bella scatola e sono state accantonate per un pò in un angolo della mia casa. Poi hanno fatto 2200 km per venire in Svezia. “Perché? perché magari lì mi serviranno!”, pensavo. Erano ancora li qualche giorno fa.
Così durante una vera e propria incursione di decluttering ho ritrovato le stoffe. “Ritrovato?! Loro sono sempre state lì ad aspettare”. Non avrei avuto nessuno a cui regalarle e non avevo neanche voglia di aspettare oltre. Ho preparato dei sacchetti dove buttarle e alla fatidica domanda:
“Lo tengo, lo butto o lo riciclo?”
“Voi a cosa pensate che abbia risposto? Lo riciclo. Perché avevate dubbi?”
Ma per evitare di finire in un circolo vizioso mi sono data una regola: se devo riciclare devo subito saper in cosa.
Avevo questo divano rivestito con questa stoffa che proprio non mi piaceva così ho deciso di cambiargli look con un effetto patchwork e soprattutto senza comperare altre stoffe.
Prevedendo che potrebbe facilmente sporcarsi ho deciso di ricoprirlo nuovamente con altra stoffa e rifinirlo con questo bordo fatto all’uncinetto.
Ora non so se abbia fatto bene o se sia stata una pazzia ma il risultato non mi dispiace affatto.
Spero di avervi dato un’idea per utilizzare stoffe e ritagli, perché so che anche voi non li buttate e non per darvi la scusa di acquistarne di nuove!!
